| Our company, a subsidiary of Shanghai Dachang Copper Industry Co., LTD is located in Los Angeles and has being a member of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) for the last 7 years. Our team is in charge of sourcing and purchasing the supplies that our mother company in Asia requires to satisfy the domestic Chinese market and do it successfully. We have been doing this since 1995 and we are currently looking to expand our suppliers’ portfolio and increase the amount of our purchases in North America. Our core business is copper so we are interested in buying copper scrap, especially copper No. 2 (Birch/Cliff). However, we are studying the possibility of treating other materials in China including all types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. All the material that we buy is shipped to our smelting facility in Shanghai, China where we produce 70,000 tons (based on 2001 numbers) of copper cathodes. That is why, as end users, we require constant supply of materials and long-term relationships of mutual prosperity with our suppliers. We have a strong financial support, which gives us the capability to pay upon loading (when F.A.S. transactions) and to pay upon documents (when C.I.F. transactions). Many suppliers have proved our impeccable reputation. |
